‘I HAVE DECIDED TO STICK WITH LOVE, because HATE is TOO GREAT A BURDEN TO BEAR'
My spiritual life prompted me to draft this post as I tried to make sense of the weight lagged in me (which by the way seemed inert) and in turn make amends and relish the old ME.I have always reiterated that life itself is never truly ridden of so much hiatus, but the moment we are taken aback to re-evaluate its progression and refuse to couch selfish desires but instead seek absolution seems a milestone enough in the long-run. In this spirit of lent ,a period of self –deprivation, a moment of soul searching into this vain entity called ’life’ a wider viewed perception at what we should really be living for. I felt a tinge of pure fine wisdom hanging to his every word as I hope that much or more seeps into our souls. I thought it fitting to rehash and encourage us with few words (poetry in motion) from Bishop T.D Jakes to help in veering our life course and aligningly reconcile our consciences with actions.
Here goes...Enjoy!
There are people who walk away from you
When people walk away from you,
Let them walk!
Don’t talk another person into staying with you
Don’t talk another person into loving you
Don’t talk another person into calling you
Don’t talk another into caring about you, coming to see you
Don’t talk another person into staying with you, attached to you
Let it go!
When people walk away from you
Let them walk, your destiny is never attached to anyone that left
People leave you because they are not joined to you and if they aren’t joined to you, you can’t make them stay
Let them go!
It doesn’t mean they are bad people, it just means that their part in the story is over and you’ve got to know when people’s part in your story is over ,so that you don’t keep trying in raising up the dead.
You’ve got to know when it’s dead and possibly deal with the memories that come with that.
Let it go!
If you are holding unto something that doesn’t belong to you and was never intended for your life ; then you need to let it go!
If you’re holding unto past hurts and pains
Let it go!
If someone can’t treat you right
If someone cannot love you back
If someone cannot see your worth,
Let it go!
If someone has angered you, Let it go!
If you are holding unto some thoughts of evil and revenge; Let it go!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction
Let it go!
If you’re holding unto a job that no longer meets your needs or talents
Let it go!
If you have bad attitude
Let it go!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better
Let it go!
If you’re struggling with the healing of a broken relationship
Let it go!
If you keep trying to help someone who won’t even try to help themselves
Let it go!
If you’re feeling depressed and stressed
Let it go!
Let the past be the past, forget the former things
Let it go!
